If someone is struggling in the water, your first instinct may be to jump in and help.
But going into the water can put you in danger too.
A safer way to help is:
Reach: Use something long, like a pole, towel, or branch.
Throw: Toss something that floats, like a life ring or life jacket.
Don’t Go: Do not jump in unless you are trained to rescue someone.
Call 911 or get help right away.
At Float2Fly, we believe water safety education helps protect both swimmers and helpers. Knowing what to do can save a life.
Join us in supporting water safety and helping more people stay informed.
